Profisee has released Profisee Anywhere, a SaaS master data management service integrated with Microsoft Fabric OneLake. The tool allows businesses to manage master data directly within the OneLake environment.
Why it matters
This integration reduces data sprawl and technical overhead for organizations by eliminating the need to copy and sync data between environments. Businesses can now maintain data stewardship without moving information outside of Microsoft Fabric.
The new capability is launching under the 26R3 platform release version. It builds upon existing connectivity to Fabric Warehouse and Fabric Lakehouse, now adding support for Fabric SQL databases.
The players
Profisee
A provider of master data management software that helps enterprises maintain data quality and consistency.
Microsoft Fabric
An end-to-end analytics platform that integrates data movement, processing, and storage into a single unified environment.
The details
Profisee Anywhere uses the Profisee MCP Server to facilitate data integration with Microsoft Fabric. The service ingests raw data from Fabric SQL databases and publishes mastered data back to them, allowing for a centralized management process within the OneLake ecosystem.
Timeline
December 2026: Profisee Anywhere reaches general availability.
Week of the Fabric Community Conference: Launch of the Fabric SQL Database Connector.
Market Landscape
This integration follows the industry trend of consolidating data management within unified cloud platforms. It represents a shift from legacy practices of moving data across disconnected environments to performing management tasks directly in-place.
Operators using Microsoft Fabric should assess whether this tool reduces their existing data synchronization overhead or legacy MDM infrastructure costs. Consider auditing current data sprawl to determine if in-place management will improve operational efficiency once the service launches.
The takeaway
Reducing data copies minimizes the risk of inconsistency across business systems. Monitor the upcoming Fabric Community Conference for the technical rollout of the SQL Database Connector to plan your integration timeline.
