Intact Network Expands to 170 Territories for Buyers
Multinational businesses buying coordinated insurance can now place local policies across a wider set of territories.
Updated on Nov. 3, 2026 in Financial Services

Intact Insurance added Guardian Group and Ceylinco Insurance as partners in the Intact Global Network, which grew from more than 150 countries and territories to more than 170. The expansion gives multinational businesses coordinated insurance programmes across a wider footprint, including the Caribbean and the Maldives.
Why it matters
Companies buying insurance across several countries have historically had to coordinate separate local policies, and a broader partner network reduces the number of carriers they must manage. The added partners extend Intact's presence into regions it previously reached less directly.
The network now spans more than 170 countries and territories, up from more than 150. Guardian Group adds 18 Caribbean territories, and Intact's UK business stands at £2.7 billion against a stated 2030 target of £5 billion.
The players
Intact Insurance
A top five UK commercial lines insurer that operates a global partner network for coordinated multinational insurance programmes.
Guardian Group
A Caribbean insurance group whose partnership extends Intact's network across 18 additional territories in the region.
Ceylinco Insurance
A Sri Lankan insurance company whose network partnership adds the Maldives to Intact's global footprint.
The details
The Intact Global Network lets businesses buy coordinated multinational insurance programmes rather than arranging separate policies in each country. Locally compliant policies are issued through network partners in each jurisdiction under central oversight, so a company can keep one programme structure while meeting local regulatory requirements. Guardian Group's addition extends that model across Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Guyana, St Lucia and several other Caribbean territories, while Ceylinco Insurance adds the Maldives.
Timeline
October 2025: RSA and NIG were rebranded as Intact Insurance across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
November 3, 2026: Intact added Guardian Group and Ceylinco Insurance to the Intact Global Network.
2030: Intact's target year for growing its UK business to £5 billion.
Market Landscape
The expansion follows the broader insurance industry pattern of carriers building partner networks rather than entering each market directly. Intact's network growth runs alongside other specialty insurers' international moves, including Starr's Milan branch and Berkshire Hathaway Specialty's entry into Poland.
Businesses with operations across the Caribbean, the Maldives or the UK should review whether their multinational insurance programmes can be consolidated through a partner network. Operators should confirm with their broker or insurance advisor which partner will issue local policies in each territory.
The takeaway
Multinational buyers should ask their broker whether a coordinated network programme could replace fragmented local policies in the affected territories. Track the Intact Global Network's partner list as the Guardian Group and Ceylinco integrations begin issuing policies.
